Terms of use

Last updated: 17 October 2026

By using KBfit you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable rather than legalistic, and they describe how the site actually operates.

What KBfit is

KBfit is a free, browser-based utility that resizes and compresses images for exam and ID application forms. It requires no account and is provided at no cost.

No guarantee of acceptance

KBfit can produce a file that meets a size and dimension target you choose. It cannot guarantee that an exam board, recruiter, or portal will accept that file. Requirements change between application cycles, and boards may apply rules the tool does not know about. Always check the current official notification. KBfit is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any examination authority or government body.

Your responsibilities

Limitations of browser-based compression

Results depend on your browser and device. Support for HEIC files varies; very large images may fail on devices with limited memory; aggressive compression to reach a very small target can visibly reduce quality. The tool reports when an output is still above target rather than pretending it succeeded.

Availability

The site is provided as-is. It may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued without notice. No uptime or continuity guarantee is made.

Intellectual property

The text, design, and code of this site are the property of KBfit. You keep all rights to the images you process; because they are never transmitted to us, no licence over them is granted or required.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, KBfit is not liable for rejected applications, missed deadlines, or other losses arising from use of the tool or from reliance on information published on this site. You use the tool at your own discretion and should keep your original files.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
